Delightful Doors02 June 2013 | By Beth in Delightful Doors
Good morning, guys! I have an album to share today that I put together as a gift using the fantastic Delightful Doors album. Since it has so many pages in different shapes and sizes, it is perfect for any theme or occasion.
Here’s the front cover open a bit to show all the great layered pages inside:
The front of the album is made of two chipboard pages. Since they overlap just slightly when they are closed, they are easily flipped open as they are, but they look so neat with these door knob type embellishments as openers.
Since this one is a gift, I left open space for the recipient to add their own photos and mementos.
Each page has some Art Anthology goodness on it for some added texture and sparkle. I used mostly brown paints with bronze-y and gold-tone shine to them along with some white and clear sparkle paints.
Each page has some specks and splatters of Art Anthology paints to tie them all together.
The double-sided spiral binding may look intimidating, but it was really simple to take apart and put back together. The best tip I can give you for keeping this as easy as possible is to jot down the order in which each page is loaded onto the binding before you take it apart. That way, you know what order to put everything back together in so that the back and front pages are in the right spots.
The book also features a large canvas page and an acrylic page that is the same size as the policy envelope, but I took those out on this project so that I can use them on another (which you just might see here soon!).
Thanks so much for looking! I’ll see you next time!
